An introduction to the Old Testament in Greek H St J Henry St John 1869?1930 Thackeray Books
Forgotten Books has here made two devasting mistakes: 1) They reprinted the first, 1902 edition of the book, which was revised in 1914 by Ottley. Ottley added bibliography and rewrote whole paragraphs (however, the pagination is retained in the second edition). This second revised edition should be the one reprinted! 2) I can't believe Forgotten Books picked such a horrible copy of Swete's work to reprint. Not only is there underlining throughout the reprinted text, but it is so thick at times that it could've come from a thick sharpie! Really? Forgotten Books, you couldn't take the time to find a better copy to reprint? To add to that, the reprint quality is sub-par overall. The pages are often blurry, and even cuts out text at times (see page 82). In short, don't buy this reprint. Find this most useful book from a different source. Forgotten Books, I won't soon forget how bad this reprint is.Product details

An introduction to the Old Testament in Greek H St J Henry St John 1869?1930 Thackeray Books Reviews
I found "Introduction to the Old Testament in Greek" to be a book that contains a wealth of knowledge in regard to manuscript evidence. It is not the quintessential easy reader, but it is great for reference. It provides a very detailed description of almost all of the manuscripts used to establish the Septuagint and those used by current scholarship to translate Old Testament texts.
Book is illegible on an iPad. There appears to be a faulty rendering of the text into the format. It is unreadable.
